Yoonil Auh
Yoon-il Auh, Ed.D. (born March 3, 1961) is a Korean–American educator, violinist, and composer. == Professional Background == Auh currently serves as a vice president at Kyung Hee Cyber University of South Korea. He is also a vice chair of Special Committee at the Future of Korea Education of the South Korean Ministry of Education. Prior to KHCU, Auh served as a vice president at the National Labor College (NLC) of AFL-CIO from 2005 to 2012. Previously to NLC, Auh served as a director of distance and distributed education at Central Michigan University. Before CMU, he served as associate director at New York University, where he managed to launch NYU's first full online degree programs for the working professionals in 1999 and the faculty development program for faculty for teaching in online learning environment. Auh received Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in instructional technology from Teachers College, Columbia University. His doctoral dissertation, "Designing and Creating an Interdisciplinary Learning Environment Using Cognitive Flexibility Theory" received the College President's Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2000 at the graduation of Teachers College of Columbia University (President Arthur Levine). Auh received MA in Cognition, Computing and Education and Ed.M. in Music Education and Cognition from Columbia University and MM and B.A from the Juilliard School. He is also an ACE certified curriculum reviewer (American Council on Education, Washington DC). Notable titles published under Auh include a chapter title contribution ("Depth in Music History via Technology") in the book "Multiple Intelligence, Howard Gardner and New Methods in College Teaching,"〔http://www.amazon.com/Multiple-Intelligences-Gardner-Methods-Teaching/dp/188351407〕 published by Bastos Educational Books and “A Guide to the Programming Process: Pascal / C++" The programming book was published by Intrepid Pixels Technology Inc. and used as a required textbook in Columbia University's Teachers College, Touro College, and City University of New York. Currently, he is a visiting professor and scholar at Seoul National University at the ODA Research Center of the Graduate School of International Studies and the Global Education Cooperation program of College of Education.
